Space, nature and quiet
L'Etournerie is a rural and very small camping, where respect en
tranquility are very important. The view is amazing!
à la ferme has six pitches.
All of the pitches are suitable for tents/vans but only four pitches are
open to caravans and motorhomes, depending on their size.
advised that you book in advance due to limited space.
Electricity is available for each pitch.
In order to ensure tranquility for all our guests we only accept adults.
The camping is car-free. To pack and unpack you can take your car
onto the camping, it will be parked behind the coniferes when you're done.
We are not visible from the road.
If you love camping but don't want to bring your own camping equipment,
or if you just prefer a bit of luxury combined with camping life, our
Chalet Lavande is just for you. It has a living/dining area, a bedroom
with a proper and very comfortable bed and a small kitchen. However, there
is no running water so you will also need to use the toilet block on the
camping. Please look HERE
for more info.
Our pool (8x4m and 1,5m deep) is great for cooling off on
those warm sunny days. In accordance with French regulation the pool area
is fenced, but of course you personally will remain responsible for your
own safety and that of your travel companions. No inflatables allowed.
In France you will need tight swimming trunks in pools, so please bring
Only 300 meters away is the Lac du Marillet, ideal for fishing and
swimming for your dog. The closest beach is 32
kms away, at La Faute sur Mer.
Of course our "sanitair" is comfortable, clean and spacious, with
plenty of hooks and a stool to sit on in each of the showers.
For your convenience we have two large showers, two toilets, two
wash-basins, two sinks and a washing machine and dryer (fee). Here we also have
two fridges that you can rent.
Since we have a septic tank you cannot empty your chemical toilet without
a minor adjustment. There are several products that are "septic tank
safe", please make sure you use these. We can provide more information if
you ask us.
To protect the grass as much as
possible in our climate, we do not allow any plastic sheets under your
groundsheet. Your groundsheet is fine, just no extra layer(s) of plastic.
If you want to put something to protect your groundsheet, please use
eco-carpet with holes in it. It'll work well for you and for our grass.
Chickens, cats, peacocks,
geese and other wildlife
For the rural feel we have our chickens wandering all over our
property and they will most likely come to visit you. The same goes for
some of our cats. If you are lucky you may even see one ore more peacocks,
deer, boar and many species of birds. We also have a flock of geese, but
they have never wandered onto the camping.
On request dogs are welcome. For the safety of our
chickens and cats, and for those guests who may be afraid of dogs, they
will have to be on a leash when on the camping.
Our guests value tranquility. To
ensure this as much as possible, our property is only open to registered
guests. This means you can be sure there will never be non-campers
on our camping.
If you want to meet with friends or family, we ask you kindly to do so
elsewhere. Thank you.
"sanitair" we have a small library with books (English and Dutch) and
magazines (Dutch). We cannot get English magazines here so if you want to
leave some behind we would be very pleased with that!
We provide a secured wifi network. This means you can access the
internet from any pitch and accommodation.
Information about the surrounding area, sights, hiking, cycling etc.,
is available for all our guests. You can always ask us for information and
we will do our best to help you.
